Welcome to Resilient Roots Counseling. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of our counseling services,  website, and social media accounts. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

1. Services Provided

Resilient Roots Counseling provides professional counseling services, including but not limited to individual therapy, couples counseling, group therapy, and mental health assessments. Services may be provided in person, online, or via telephone, depending on the client’s needs and preferences.

2. Eligibility

Clients must be at least 18 years old to receive counseling services unless accompanied by a legal guardian or with parental consent for minor counseling services. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone based on professional or ethical considerations.

3. Confidentiality

All client/patient information is confidential and protected under applicable laws. Exceptions to confidentiality include, but are not limited to:

  • Risk of harm to self or others

  • Suspected abuse or neglect of a minor or vulnerable adult

  • Court orders requiring disclosure

4. Appointments and Cancellations
  • Clients must schedule appointments in advance.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least [Insert Timeframe] in advance. Failure to provide notice may result in a cancellation fee.

  • Repeated no-shows or cancellations may result in termination of services.

5. Fees and Payment
  • Fees for counseling services will be disclosed before the start of treatment.

  • Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed.

  • Insurance reimbursement is the responsibility of the client unless otherwise arranged.

6. Code of Conduct

Clients are expected to conduct themselves respectfully towards counselors and staff. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in termination of services.

7. Emergency Situations

Resilient Roots Counseling does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please call emergency services or visit the nearest emergency room.

8. Technology and Telehealth
  • Telehealth services are subject to state and federal regulations.

  • Clients or patients must ensure they have a secure internet connection and appropriate privacy when participating in virtual sessions.

  • Resilient Roots Counseling is not responsible for technical issues that may disrupt sessions.

9. Limitation of Liability

Resilient Roots Counseling and its staff are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use of our services.

10. Changes to Terms and Conditions

Resilient Roots Counseling reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes.
